The Hinsdale Dance Academy is now an official Angelina BallerinaTM Dance Academy! Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy classes are taught through a nationwide network of top quality dance studios. Your child will receive a quality dance education in a caring and fun environment, all based on the beloved Angelina Ballerina character. The Angelina Ballerina Dance Academy curriculum is designed by internationally renowned master teachers and child development experts. Your child will be inspired to pursue their dreams of dance, just like Angelina Ballerina! (Ages 3-4)
Following two years with Angelina Ballerina, students move into Pre-Ballet. The Pre-Ballet curriculum was designed by leading HDA faculty members to continue inspiring our youngest dancers. Students begin using the barre for the beginning of the class and preparations for the transition in to the youth training program begin. Students will spend two years in the level preparing for the next step in their training in a challenging and fun environment. (Ages 5-6)
HDA also offers a tap and jazz combo class for our young children’s program. This class introduces children to the basic steps of tap dancing and jazz. This class promotes musicality, coordination, and rhythm, as well as sequencing, patterning, and spatial relationships. (Ages 3-6)
Mommy and Me is an interactive class where children and parents can discover the joy of movement. We believe a child’s (and parent’s) first experience with dance should make a positive and lasting impression. Children have fun in a safe, creative, and nurturing environment. (Ages 0-2)
