Hinsdale Dance Project

HDP caters to students who aspire to excel in poms, cheerleading, as well as the commercial and competitive dance scene. Some students will choose to start their journey here and others will transition to HDP after spending time in the Youth Training Division or the Young Children's Program. Project Ballet
Project Ballet is a comprehensive exploration of classical ballet, and a much needed contrast to the rest of the Project curriculum. Taking this class allows our faculty to impart not only the refined grace and discipline synonymous with classical ballet, but also enhances students' body awareness and coordination skills through the extensive vocabulary of this timeless artform.

Project Jazz/Hip Hop + Lyrical/Contemporary
These dynamic classes delve into the world of Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Contemporary dance.  Each class follows a traditional class format, starting with a warm up that focuses on building core strength, enhancing balance, and mastering isolations. Additionally, rhythmic exercises are incorporated, allowing students to excel in both technical skills and artistic expression.

Leaps and Turns
This specialized class zeroes in on the essential elements of leaps and turns. With a keen emphasis on proper placement and technique, we delve into the intricacies of turning in all positions, as well as how to create dynamic movement while in the air.

Acro
Acrobatics hold great importance to a dancer's technique as it teaches them to seamlessly fuse athleticism with artistic expression, thus expanding their creative possibilities in the studio and in front of an audience.

Stretch/Strength
Designed specifically for dancers, this class focuses on enhancing flexibility, improving muscular strength, and promoting overall physical well-being.
