HBT Trainees
(Levels II-B, III-A, and III-B formerly JUCO YAGP)
Dancers in Academy Levels II-B and up who have strong classical ballet and contemporary technique and the desire/ability to be a part of a high level, high commitment group of dancers are now eligible to be a part of our internationally recognized Hinsdale Ballet Theatre company. Dancers are required to participate in a contemporary large group (rehearsed on Monday evenings) and a ballet large group (rehearsed on Saturday/Sunday afternoons), small groups and solos are offered at the director's discretion and may be limited to specific competitions. Groups will be performed at UBC, YAGP and Platinum, soloists have the option to compete at ADC/IBC, UBC, YAGP and Platinum. Please note, this is not a company for recreational dancers, rehearsals over Winter Break, or "Winter Intensive" will be required. Valued HDA dancers who are unable to meet the commitment level of HBT are encouraged to stay in JUCO to focus on a well-rounded dance experience with a lower commitment level.
